Perchloroethylene, also known as perc, is the solvent currently used by about 85 percent of the nation’s 35,000 dry cleaners-- but not for much longer. With concerns about perc’s health and environmental impacts mounting, states like California have begun to phase out the chemical and the hunt is on for cost-effective, less toxic cleaning technologies.

Not only is our facility completely perc-free, using petroleum based solvents for the entirety of our 59 year history, but in the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2007 a transition was made to the next generation of even more environmentally friendly cleaning technology: hydrocarbons (ExxonMobil Chemical DF-2000). Massanelli's Cleaners and Laundry ceaselessly invests in state-of-the-art operational systems while doing all within our power to make sure we remain exemplary eco-stewards.
